For the best fit of your shoes please read carefully the following instructions:

Step #1: Draw the contour of your feet.
Put your right foot on a piece of paper putting all the weight of your body in that foot. Another person should draw the contour or outline of your foot by putting the thin pen or pencil in vertical alignment.

IMPORTANT:

Do not trace your own foot because as you bend to draw, you will put weight on your feet and change the size.
Do not lean over and watch as the person outlines your feet.  By doing so, you will move your legs and put uneven weight on your feet.

Step #2:  Find the longest  part of your foot.

Draw a line in the largest part of your feet as in the picture.  Measure between these exact points and write on the same paper the dimensions in centimeters. Do the same with your left foot. Specify the regular size you wear in the same paper.  One foot may be longer than the other so it is important to send both, left and right, measurements.

Step #3    After you count the length of your foot find your proper size from the following size chart

It's better to take measurments at afternoon, not morning, because the feet during the day become a little swollen. You will never wear tango shoes early morning.

If the measurement it's between two sizes, it's better to choose the bigger one.

We notice that the size should be diverged according the design, the leather type, the heel height and the metatarsal perimeter.

IMPORTANT ADVICES FOR WOMEN SHOES:

if you are a begginer it's better to choose a low heel (7cm) or a medium (8,5cm) in case of you are used to wear high heels generally.

We should suggest you to use Latin type (wide) heel which provides better balance and stability. Later, when you will become familiar with tango technique and with the heels, you may dance comfortably with higher heels stiletto.

TOES COVERING

Generally a peep toe model fits better at all foot types, normal, wide and narrow.
An open toe model fits better at a normal foot type usually.
If you have a bunion prefer a peep toe soft leather model.

Closed toe models are a good choice for begginers to "protect" their toes from stepping on or if you have any particularity

Open toe models and open heel  as well are for those who are already experienced with Tango.

MATERIALS:

All ImagineTangoShoes are made with a soft genuine leather inner lining so that you can wear and dance them continuesly for long time without any problem.

LEATHER shoes will mold to the shape of your foot, and after about a month will fit precisely and feel nice and soft. Our guideline: buy leather shoes that are close fitting but not too much. They will feel a bit tight to begin with, but after a while will feel incredibly comfortable.

SUEDE shoes will give more than any material, because suede leather is softer than normal leather. Our guideline: buy suede shoes that are quite close fitting. Like leather, they will feel a bit tight to begin with but will mold precisely around your feet.

SATIN shoes are firm and will not mold much. Our guideline: buy satin shoes that not close fitting, which sometimes means going half size up.

PATENT shoes are also quite firm and close fitting. They will hold their shape for a very long time. Our guideline: buy patent shoes that not close fitting, which sometimes means going half size up.

 IMPORTANT TIPS FOR MEN'S SHOES

There are two basic types for mens shoes according  the lacing system.

1.Oxford type or Closed Lacing:

An Oxford shoe is characterized by shoelace eyelets tabs that are attached under the vamp, a feature termed "closed lacing". It's the classic shoe style with a formal, elegant, and dressy appeal.

2.Derby type or Open Lacing:

The Derby is a very similar to the oxford shoe but the difference is in the lacing which is sewn outside of the shoes. Derby shoes are perfect for a smart-casual dress consisting of jeans, dress shorts, and sport coats

Other types-variations of Oxdord and Derby shoes

1.Cap Toe:

A cap toe looks like a horizontally stitched line that divides the vamp of a shoe at the toe. In most cases this will actually be a separate piece stitched as the toe on the vamp, like a cap.

2.Wingtip:

This toe style has a winged cap that peaks in the middle of the toe. This toe style often features broguing in the center of the toe and along the seam of the cap.

3.Plain Toe:

Plain toe shoes are as simple as it gets. The vamp is left unscathed, providing a very clean and minimalist look.

4.Borgues:

Any shoe and toe style can have brogueing. Brogue simply refers to the decorative perforations in various patterns on dress shoes. Brogueing is most often seen on oxford and derby shoes and is available in four different toe cap styles: full brogue, longwing brogue, semi-brogue, and quarter brogue.
